Singer Lim Young-woong is back — trading islands for mountains to meet viewers as a “mountain bachelor.”
On the 4th, Lim’s agency Mulgogi Music said, "Lim Young-woong will appear on SBS’s new variety show Sangolchonggak Yeong-ung." They added, "After delivering warm healing and friendly charm in last season’s Seomchonggak Yeong-ung, this time he’ll return as a mountain bachelor to show a new side of himself," building major anticipation.
Sangolchonggak Yeong-ung is the second season of Seomchonggak Yeong-ung, which aired last August. In the previous season, Lim lived on a far-off island with friends, sharing a humble daily life and heartfelt comfort. This season moves the stage to the mountains, teasing another style of healing variety.
The program unfolds in a remote “mountain bachelor house” set deep in the hills. A range of guests will drop by one by one, as an unplanned, unfiltered, zero-toxin lifestyle plays out. Unlike the sea-breeze freshness of Seomchonggak Yeong-ung, this season centers on the mountains’ quiet calm, slow pace, and heartwarming, people-first stories.
The lineup joining Lim also turns heads: actors Cha Seung-won, Hyun Bong-sik, and Kim Do-hoon; comedians Heo Kyung-hwan and Kwak Beom; and singers Jo Jjaez, Nucksal, and Roy Kim are set to appear, each bringing their own flair. How their chemistry and connections with Lim unfold will be a key highlight.
Alongside his variety comeback, Lim proved his unshakable pull in the ad market. According to the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute’s big data analysis of advertising model brand reputation for June 2026, announced the same day, Lim ranked No. 1 with a brand reputation index of 2,495,542. Byun Woo-seok placed second, and Park Ji-hoon came in third.
Meanwhile, Sangolchonggak Yeong-ung premieres on SBS at 9 p.m. on the 23rd.
