Shocking momentum: Actor Kim Jung-hyun is making headlines as he dives into his first-ever musical and confirms a new K-Drama, signaling a full-on breakout year.
On June 9, tvN’s new series Love In Disguise unveiled still cuts featuring Kim Jung-hyun.
Kim plays Kim Si-hyun, a lawyer on Taegang Group’s legal team and the closest friend of Yoon I-jun (played by Im Si-wan). With life mottos like “keep it moderate” and “best value,” he diligently looks after his boss Yoon I-jun while keeping his true intentions under wraps—an intriguingly multi-layered character. Content with a smooth, uneventful life, he’s suddenly shaken when he meets a woman who ignites his competitive streak, throwing him into unexpected emotions.
The newly released stills capture Kim Si-hyun’s trademark, breezy confidence and sly smile, cranking up anticipation for the fresh, scene-stealing energy Kim Jung-hyun will bring to the drama.
The drama follows the dangerously thrilling romance between third-generation chaebol Yoon I-jun—named a murder suspect—and Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah), a former special forces detective who goes undercover as his executive assistant. The show is slated to premiere in the second half of this year and will also stream globally via Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, riding the buzz from his casting news, Kim Jung-hyun is also taking the stage. He makes his long-awaited musical debut on June 9 as Jung-hak in the musical The Days, meeting audiences from both screen and stage without missing a beat.
