Comedian Ahn Young-mi has welcomed her second son, officially becoming a mom of two.
On the 26th, her agency MediaLab Seeso announced, "Ahn Young-mi gave birth to a healthy second son on the 25th at a hospital in Seoul." According to the agency, both the mother and baby are in good health, and Ahn is currently resting with congratulations and care from her husband and family.
The agency added, "Please send warm congratulations and support to Ahn Young-mi and her family as they greet this precious new life," noting that "after a sufficient recovery, Ahn will return to broadcasting in good health to share great moments with viewers."
Ahn married her non-celebrity husband in 2020 and welcomed her first son in July 2023. Nearly three years later, she has now delivered her second son, making them a family of four.
Previously, when she delivered her first child, Ahn flew to Los Angeles, where her husband was staying, and became embroiled in a "birth tourism" controversy. At the time, the agency explained that her husband was working overseas and issued a statement addressing the matter. This time, her second delivery took place at a hospital in Korea.
Debuting in 2004 as part of KBS's 19th open recruitment class of comedians, Ahn has remained highly active across variety shows.
