Actors Ji Sung and Park Byung-eun launch their first on-screen alliance by delivering a ruthless lesson to a shameless "parking villain."
On the 29th, JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama Apartment unveiled stills featuring the two stars.
The drama is a grounded human story about former Oasis crew boss Park Hae-gang (played by Ji Sung) diving into the apartment residents' association chair election to seize the "blind money" hidden within the complex, then teaming up with residents to expose corruption. Ji Sung plays Park Hae-gang, the ex-boss of the Oasis crew with a legendary 100% collection rate and zero outstanding debts, while Park Byung-eun takes on the role of Lee Choong-won, a construction company CEO and penthouse resident armed with good looks, wealth, and a silver tongue. This marks their first time acting together.
In the released stills, Park Hae-gang and Lee Choong-won share a loaded handshake after serving payback to a "parking villain" who turned the complex upside down. When the offender blocks the garage entrance with a sports car and causes a scene, Park Hae-gang boldly rams the car out of the way with his own vehicle, then instantly subdues the man as he lunges to grab his collar—radiating overwhelming presence. As the chaos continues, Lee Choong-won arrives and shuts it down with just a few words. Amid residents' thunderous cheers, the pair meet for the first time and shake hands, igniting curiosity about where their relationship will go from here.
Meanwhile, powered by Ji Sung and Park Byung-eun's chilling synergy that promises goosebumps at home, Apartment premieres on July 11 at 10:40 p.m.
