SM Entertainment — home to aespa, NCT, and Hearts2Hearts — shared an update on its crackdown against acts that infringe on its artists' rights.
On the 10th, SM Entertainment stated on its official social media, "We are aware that some malicious users have been attempting to evade legal responsibility through various workarounds such as deleting accounts and posts, deactivating, or switching to private," adding, "However, no workaround can shield perpetrators from legal responsibility or punishment. We have already secured ample evidence in real time to support legal action, and we are pursuing strong legal measures without exception against all illegal activities, including such workarounds."
The company also disclosed accounts reported through 'KWANGYA 119,' noting, "Based on the collected evidence, criminal complaints are already underway."
Additionally, SM said, "We extend our gratitude to the fans who report illegal activities out of love and support for our artists, and we ask you to continue actively submitting tips whenever you encounter related cases."
