Middle school PE teacher and singer Jo Young-bo is staging a feel-good comeback with an irresistible dance trot that aims to go viral.
On July 14, Jo Young-bo will release his second single, 'Smile Blossom'. Built on a fast tempo, an infectious melody, and upbeat, positive lyrics, the dance trot track promises to inject fresh energy into exhausted summer routines.
Adding to the hype, DJ DOC member Kim Chang-ryeol features on the track, amplifying its party-ready vibe. Kim Hyun-ah, often called the queen of choruses, provides backing vocals to round out the rich, full sound.
A roster of top-tier session players also joined the recording. More than 20 musicians, including string specialists On The String and brass unit TST Brass, recorded live to capture stage-like immediacy and dynamic energy.
Currently a middle school PE teacher and father of two, Jo Young-bo also co-wrote the lyrics. He poured in his wish to bring strength and laughter to fellow teachers and parents worn out by busy daily life.
Previously, Jo struck a chord with his debut single 'Love You Left Behind', which expressed the sorrow and longing from an early farewell with his mother. If that first track sang of deep family love, 'Smile Blossom' spotlights his brighter, more positive side.
Producer On The Man explained, "We prepared this project as if handing a bottle of energy tonic to everyone exhausted by everyday life."
