As anticipation builds for SBS’s upcoming fantasy romance No Tail to Tell, an unexpected element is stealing the spotlight — and sparking debate.

On December 26, SBS released a second teaser for its new Friday–Saturday drama No Tail to Tell, highlighting the fate-twisting encounter between Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon), a gumiho who suddenly becomes human overnight, and Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon), a once-untouchable world-class soccer star who has fallen from the top.

The teaser captures the dramatic shifts rocking both characters’ lives. A gumiho who refuses to become human and a self-absorbed global star become entangled through a single wish, forging a mysterious and volatile bond. Viewers quickly zeroed in on the pair’s rapid-fire banter and crackling on-screen chemistry.

However, reactions were sharply divided. Some viewers criticized the visuals, commenting, “There was plenty of time for post-production, but the CGI is disappointing,” “It feels like early-2000s CGI,” and “After a year-long delay, the polish should’ve been stronger.” Others pushed back, praising moments like the spoon scene and saying, “The chemistry makes up for it,” and “The leads look great together.”

No Tail to Tell is a chaotic fantasy romance centered on a Gen Z gumiho who rejects humanity and an over-the-top narcissist whose lives collide in the messiest way possible. The series premieres Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:50 PM (KST).
