Back on the big screen with the film Salmokji, actress Kim Hye-yoon sent her support to fellow breakout star Byeon Woo-seok of tvN’s Lovely Runner.
On the 2nd, at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Kim held a media interview for Salmokji. Asked about reactions after the premiere, she shared, "Friends told me, 'We came for you, but it was really scary,'" relaying audience feedback. She added that some also said there were "so many fresh angles that certain scenes really stuck" with them.
Kim also spoke about reuniting with Byeon Woo-seok, her co-star from Lovely Runner. Regarding Byeon, who is set to premiere his new MBC drama Perfect Crown, she said carefully, "I hope we can both keep fighting and do well." At the Salmokji VIP screening, the 'Lovely Runner' team showed up to cheer on Kim—proof their friendship is still going strong.
Meanwhile, the film Salmokji opens on the 8th. In it, Kim plays Han Soo-in, a PD at the road-view service company Onroad Media. The story unfolds as a chilling mystery near a reservoir and marks director Lee Sang-min’s feature debut.
Reactions to Kim Hye-yoon’s horror turn include comments like "This is the one I’m most excited for" and "Good luck to all the 'Lovely Runner' cast!"
