Shocking comeback: Former APRIL member Lee Jinsol is relaunching her career after signing with a new agency.
On the 27th, Modenberry Korea announced, "We have signed an exclusive contract with former APRIL member Lee Jinsol," adding that they plan to provide full support so she can pursue a wide range of activities.
Lee Jinsol debuted with APRIL in 2015 and steadily built her presence through variety shows and music programs, showcasing different sides of herself.
However, APRIL faced a major controversy in 2021 when former member Lee Hyunjoo raised allegations of bullying and school violence. At the time, Lee Hyunjoo claimed via social media that for three years before and after debut, she suffered assault, verbal abuse, harassment, and profanity from members. DSP Media and the members denied the accusations as "distorted claims not based on facts."
Even after the scandal, both sides held firm to conflicting accounts, and in January 2022, APRIL effectively disbanded. Prosecutors later issued a "no charges" decision regarding Lee Hyunjoo's classmate and younger brother, whom DSP Media had accused.
Since the group disbanded, Lee Jinsol had remained largely inactive as a solo. With this exclusive contract, she is now ready to return to the stage — and all eyes are on what steps she will take next.
