Actor Dong-ju Jang, who recently revealed he was blackmailed after his phone was hacked, has now reportedly parted ways with his agency as well.

On the 29th, his agency Management Run officially announced, "We terminated our exclusive contract with Dong-ju Jang last Friday." The split comes about a month after news of the signing first broke. According to reports, Jang did not inform the agency about the hacking and tried to handle the crisis on his own. The truth began to surface after his family asked the police to investigate.

His disappearance controversy last October is also now believed to be tied to the hacking. Jang said, "As I kept trying to protect a secret and lying to borrow money, those lies spawned more lies," adding, "In the end, I couldn't protect anything."

Jang is currently appearing in SBS's Friday-Saturday drama No Tail to Tell (hereafter 'O Ingan'). Many are watching to see how this scandal will affect his upcoming work. He pleaded, "I will get my head straight, work hard, and pay back every last won, down to the very last coin," asking for help.

A breakdown of trust is being cited as the reason behind the termination. Jang failed to inform the agency about serious issues—debts and blackmail—and after the company belatedly became aware, it reportedly concluded further management was impossible and decided to end the contract.
