Even in a brief cameo, actor Ong Seong-wu delivered both high-octane action and swoon-worthy romance, instantly stealing the spotlight.

In the Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand, released on March 6, Ong appears as Bae Hyun-woo, the boyfriend inside Mirae’s (played by Jisoo) virtual dating subscription service, 'Monthly Boyfriend.' He supercharges the narrative as a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who infiltrates an aircraft on a covert mission.

Hyun-woo’s slick fight scenes—taking down terrorists who seize control of the plane—ramp up the tension, while the moment he gently reassures a shocked Mirae sparked heart-fluttering reactions from viewers. Ong Seong-wu also turned heads with his upgraded visuals and flawless suit fit, and he proved his range by performing demanding stunts and firearm sequences himself without a double.

Despite limited screen time, he doubled down on the character’s charm and left an impact far beyond a typical cameo, drawing intense attention to his performance.
