K-pop star Jeon Somi candidly revealed what JYP Entertainment really teaches its trainees — from character-building and sex education to hacking-prevention classes — and why she felt the "most important parts" were missing.
On the March 30 broadcast of the SBS variety show No, But Seriously!, Jeon Somi joins the MCs for a wide-ranging chat. She brings up the training she received as a trainee, noting, "Beyond character education, there was even sex ed and hacking-prevention training," and draws attention by describing a curriculum with more than 60 classes.
Speaking specifically about sex education, Jeon says, "I’d already learned plenty at home, but the company’s course felt like it skipped the crucial stuff," a blunt confession that sparks laughter. When the cast presses her for details, she trails off, flustered, keeping the mood light on set.
In the teaser, Jeon Somi also has a playful pride match with SM Entertainment’s Kai. When Kai refers to JYP Entertainment’s old HQ location as "the area you go to for food," Jeon fires back, "We were right on the main Cheongdam intersection." Kai counters, "We were on the main road," leading to a funny anecdote about trainees from both sides subtly checking each other out and moving to the beat.
