Former Rainbow member Go Woori has announced she is pregnant, marking a life-changing new chapter — and the uncanny timing tied to MBC 'Radio Star' is going viral.

The April 1 broadcast of MBC variety show Radio Star features Jo Gap-kyung, Chae Yeon, Go Woori, and Lee Chae-young in a 'Loyalty Trigger' special.

Recalling Rainbow’s heyday performing at military bases, Go Woori said, "I memorized each unit’s different salute slogans in advance," revealing just how thoroughly she prepared. She even recreated a performance reminiscent of the group’s signature hit 'A,' bringing back memories of their scorching popularity.

She also updated viewers on her current activities. Go Woori explained the background behind forming the unit Rainbow18 with member Cho Hyun-young, saying, "We started it because we wanted to be back on stage," and revealed they’ve even been performing at actual military base events as a unit. She added that she’s managing her fitness with the goal of hitting the WATERBOMB stage, signaling her determination for a second heyday.

Go Woori shared behind-the-scenes stories from her variety days, too. The 'auntie who blurts out dirty jokes fast' character actually started as a spontaneous ad-lib, and her husband’s unfiltered reaction to that nickname had everyone cracking up.

Her wedding-day anecdotes also drew attention — from her husband lobbying for EDM tracks to a sudden downpour at their outdoor ceremony that led her to step in as the MC herself, turning the set into a sea of laughter.

Most of all, her pregnancy news stole the spotlight. "The day after I saw two lines on the pregnancy test, I got a casting call from Radio Star," Go Woori revealed, shocking viewers. After much thought, she embraced the change, even sharing the baby’s prenatal nickname, and announced the start of a new life.

Go Woori’s candid story will air on Radio Star at 10:30 p.m. on the 1st.
