Former Click-B member Kim Sang-hyuk got brutally honest about his turbulent past and where he is now, and it’s already sparking buzz.

Kim recently appeared on announcer-turned-TV personality Jang Sung-kyu’s YouTube channel. In the video, Jang meets his former elementary school classmate Kim Sang-hyuk, and the two dive into a wide-ranging conversation.

One particularly shocking childhood incident resurfaced: Kim’s near-fatal fall. Kim said, "In elementary school, I once fell from the 11th floor of an apartment building," explaining, "A tree snapped as I fell and softened the impact." He added with a laugh, "There were rumors that I fell after a Yakult lady warned me to look down, and even that a light from the sky saved me," playfully recalling the wild stories that spread at the time. He also joked, "Because of the way I talk, there was even gossip that I ‘ended up like this because I fell.’"

Kim also revisited his past drunk driving controversy. When Jang asked, "Which was scarier, the fall or what happened after the DUI?" Kim replied, "I don’t remember the moment I fell," but admitted, "I regret my past," in his signature calm tone. Kim halted activities in 2005 after a drunk driving accident, resulting in a lengthy hiatus.

He then opened up about life after moving on from the past. "I’m running businesses in F&B, apparel, and supplements, I design bags, and I even stream on my own," he said, revealing he’s active across multiple fields. On income, he shared, "When things go well, I make several tens of millions of won a month (roughly tens of thousands of dollars)," showcasing his entrepreneurial side.

Behind the current success was also a painful family chapter. "My mother was scammed and lost two Han River-view apartments and an officetel," Kim revealed, sharing the bitter reality his family faced.

Kim further shared how he debuted with Click-B. "I was street-cast by the Han River, but since being a singer wasn’t my dream, I sang the national anthem at the audition," he said. "And I still passed," he added, stunning viewers.
