Kim Tae-yeon, who played young Ae-soon in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, is going viral for her dramatic growth spurt and stunning transformation.
On the 15th, Kim shared photos on Instagram with actor Yeom Hye-ran. Their meetup happened at the VIP premiere of the film My Name, where Yeom appears. Reuniting outside of work, the two radiated the same warm chemistry that drew fans in.
After watching the movie, Kim reflected, saying it made her think again about the tragic history of the Jeju April 3 Incident. She added that the lingering emotions were so strong she “couldn’t get up from her seat for a while” after the credits rolled, and she praised Yeom Hye-ran’s performance as deeply moving.
Fans especially reacted to Kim’s changed look. Instead of the youthful image from When Life Gives You Tangerines, she appeared far more mature, with long hair and sharper features adding to her pure, elegant charm. Comments poured in like “When did Tae-yeon grow up this much?” and “She’s so beautiful.”
The two earned huge love as Gwang-rye and Ae-soon in When Life Gives You Tangerines. Given their powerful mother-daughter chemistry on screen, news of their reunion alone delighted fans.
Born in 2011, Kim Tae-yeon is currently keeping busy with active acting work, recently appearing in the ENA drama Honor.
