Actor Go Hyun-jung had a special meeting with Hollywood stars Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
On the 15th, Go Hyun-jung’s YouTube channel released a video of Go meeting Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway—who visited Korea to promote the film The Devil Wears Prada 2—and conducting a one-on-one interview. The three actors shared an easygoing, candid conversation that ranged from behind-the-scenes stories to the challenges they face as performers.
Meryl Streep immediately reacted to Go Hyun-jung with praise, saying, "So beautiful," drawing attention. She was also spotted happily pointing at Go’s heels—the same model Anne Hathaway wore during her Tokyo schedule.
Visiting Korea for the first time, Meryl Streep couldn’t hide her excitement. "I’ve always wanted to come, and this is my first visit, so my expectations are high," she said. "For now, I’m only seeing the view from my window because of my schedule, but next time I want to stay longer and really travel."
On her second visit to Korea, Anne Hathaway shared, "I’m so happy to be back. It’s a shame I can’t enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful weather, but spending meaningful time promoting a project I love feels even more special."
The interview also delved into the realities of being an actor. When Go asked how she overcomes fatigue during filming, Meryl Streep replied, "The moment I take off my high heels after shooting, and the moment I lock eyes with my rescue dog, I feel deeply comforted." She added, "A walk with my dog melts away all the day’s exhaustion."
Anne Hathaway offered advice for junior actors as well. "I tell them to ask themselves if they truly love this work," she said. "Acting is a team effort, and there are many times you have to endure tough environments." She added, "This film shot in New York, so I felt grounded thinking of my family and my dog."
Reflecting on the meeting, Go Hyun-jung said, "It’s an honor to meet, in person, the people who made films you can never forget after seeing just once," openly expressing her fandom.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is the long-awaited sequel—returning nearly 20 years after the 2006 global hit. The film will open first worldwide in Korea on the 29th.
