2NE1 member Park Bom broke her silence with a lengthy handwritten letter, addressing the furor that erupted after her posts about Sandara Park and alleged drugs.

On the 17th, Park Bom uploaded a letter to her Instagram starting with "To the people of Korea," sharing what she has been going through. She looked back on leaving her studies in the United States to return to Korea for her dream of becoming a singer, opening up candidly about the time leading up to her debut.

She then mentioned her members one by one — Sandara Park, CL, and Gong Minzy — expressing deep affection. She described Sandara Park as the "princess of the Philippines" and the one who keeps the team grounded, praised CL as the leader who drives their performances, and lauded Minzy for lighting up the team with her dance skills.

The most eye-catching part of Park Bom's letter was her reference to the past controversy. She added a remark to the effect of, "I wish the drug-related talk could be treated as if it never happened," confessing the burden and pain over how the issue might affect the team. Reaffirming her love for the group, she wrote, "The four of us meeting was nothing short of a miracle."

Last month, Park Bom sparked a major stir by raising drug-related suspicions about Sandara Park on Instagram. Although she deleted the post, she re-uploaded it, prolonging the controversy and worsening public sentiment.

In response, Sandara Park issued a brief denial: "I have never done drugs. I hope she stays healthy." She was later seen unfollowing Park Bom on social media, signaling distance.

With this handwritten letter, Park Bom sought to show affection for her members and put the controversy to rest, but public opinion remains sharply divided. Park Bom is currently on a temporary hiatus due to health reasons.
