Disney+ original series Gold Land has dropped first-look stills ahead of its April 29 premiere.

Gold Land follows Kim Hee-joo (played by Park Bo-young), who accidentally comes into possession of a smuggling ring’s 150 billion won worth of gold bars, and fights to keep it in a brutal world of greed and betrayal — a "gold-tinged survival thriller." The newly released stills capture Hee-joo’s desperate transformation as she protects the stash, while Woo-gi (Kim Sung-cheol), who sniffs out the gold by her side, slyly proposes a deadly alliance, cranking up the tension.

Scenes with her ex-lover Lee Do-kyung (Lee Hyun-wook) hint at a clash between love and greed. Corrupt cop Kim Jin-man (Kim Hee-won), watching Hee-joo with cold, razor-sharp eyes, emerges as the wild card who could upend everything, while her love-hate relationship with her mother Yeo Seon-ok (Moon Jung-hee) adds depth to Hee-joo’s tragic arc. In the midst of these tangled ties, Director Park (Lee Kwang-soo) relentlessly pursues Hee-joo, barreling toward yet another catastrophe.

Gold Land will premiere worldwide on the 29th with two episodes every Wednesday, for a total of 10 episodes.

Some viewers are already saying, "Perfect Crown has Sung Hee-joo, and Gold Land has Kim Hee-joo," fueling hype for a powerhouse acting showdown between IU and Park Bo-young.
