K-pop group (G)I-DLE has completely canceled its North and Central America tour dates.
On the 20th, agency Cube Entertainment told multiple outlets, "We decided to restructure (G)I-DLE's North American tour."
Originally, (G)I-DLE planned to kick off the 'Syncopation' world tour on August 2 (local time) at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Canada, then hit major cities across three countries in the Americas: Newark, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Orlando, San Antonio, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Seattle.
Cube Entertainment stated, "After comprehensively reviewing the group's global strategy, local schedules, and on-the-ground conditions, we decided to restructure the North American tour," adding, "We are preparing to meet local fans with a more polished show and diverse activities going forward."
After starting the world tour in Seoul this February and visiting regions like Taiwan and Thailand, (G)I-DLE will continue meeting fans in Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE has confirmed a domestic comeback in July and is in the final stages of production for the new album.
