Ahead of his military enlistment, actor Lee Jun-young joins forces with trusted, powerhouse talents Jin Goo, Lee Joo-myung, Jeon Hye-jin, and Son Hyun-joo—all in one place.

On the 21st, JTBC’s new Sat–Sun drama Sin-ipsawon Gang Hoejang amped up anticipation by unveiling the site of its first script reading with the cast and crew.

Sin-ipsawon Gang Hoejang is a fantasy office series about Kang Yong-ho, the chairman of the Choi-seong Group, nicknamed the “God of Business,” who ends up living a second life after an unexpected accident.

At the reading, Lee Jun-young, playing soccer player Hwang Jun-hyeon, led the room’s energy as he brought the character’s audacious drive and passion to life with a playful touch. In contrast, Kang Bang-geul (played by Lee Joo-myung), the chaebol family’s hidden child, made a striking impression by conveying the dangerous ambition buried deep within her free spirit through nuanced voice acting.

Jeon Hye-jin perfectly captured Kang Jae-gyeong—who charges toward her goals without hesitation—with unwavering, steely eyes. Jin Goo, taking on Kang Jae-seong, a man consumed by inferiority, heightened the tension by expressing his character’s psychological collapse with a voice that revealed hairline cracks. In particular, Son Hyun-joo anchors the drama as Kang Yong-ho, the Choi-seong Group chairman whose indomitable will radiates through his signature gravitas.

The production team shared, “From the very first reading, the actors dove deep into their characters, creating an intensely immersive moment as if we were already inside the drama,” adding, “Expect a fresh, thrilling ride as a fierce psychological war over inheritance unfolds within a chaebol family.”

Once the script reading was revealed, prospective viewers flooded in with reactions like “Finally here,” “A cast you can trust,” and “The lineup alone has me excited.”

Meanwhile, Sin-ipsawon Gang Hoejang is set to premiere on May 30 at 10:40 p.m.
