Actors Jung So-min and Kim Yo-han are reportedly set to share the screen in a fantasy sageuk romance.

According to a Yonhap News report on the 21st, Jung So-min and Kim Yo-han are in talks to star in the new drama Haeoreumdal Yeorire.

The series is a fantasy historical drama that follows Heo Seol-hee, a Joseon-era woman who loses everything in a family massacre. After she turns back time, she sharpens her blade for revenge and fights desperately to reclaim her life.

Jung So-min is said to play Heo Seol-hee, a genius since childhood who pushes forward relentlessly to recover what she has lost. Kim Yo-han is reportedly cast as Lee Hyeon, a tragic man who lives completely cut off from the world behind towering walls.

This project is drawing extra attention as Jung So-min’s first return to the fantasy sageuk genre in about four years since tvN’s Alchemy of Souls aired in 2022. It would also mark Kim Yo-han’s first-ever historical drama. If both leads sign on, fans are eager to see the fresh romantic synergy they could create despite a 10-year age gap.

As the casting buzz spread, online communities and social media filled with positive reactions like “Jung So-min looks so youthful that even a 10-year gap won’t be an issue,” “Period styling can easily bridge the difference,” and “It’s a fresh pairing—I’m excited.”

Meanwhile, the new fantasy sageuk romance Haeoreumdal Yeorire is slated to begin full-scale filming this year, aiming to premiere in 2027.
