Only two episodes in, Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin are already locking in viewers with flawless “visual chemistry.”
Episode 2 of the SBS Wednesday–Thursday drama ‘We Sold Out Again Today’ (hereafter ‘Omaejin’), which aired on April 23, followed Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), the owner of a mushroom farm, and Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin) as they engaged in a nerve-racking push-and-pull over getting the owner’s contact information at any cost.
In the episode, Dam Ye-jin spotted a rare white flowercap mushroom on Matthew Lee’s tractor and, mistaking him for a farmhand, demanded the real owner’s number. But Matthew hid his identity and slipped out of it with the excuse that “the owner is away.”
The two’s tangled connection crossed paths again through Deokpung Village heavyweight Songhakdaek (played by Go Doo-shim). Visiting Deokpung Village after Songhakdaek won an event, Dam Ye-jin once more asked Matthew for the number—only to be flatly rejected. Things escalated when Matthew, catching Dam Ye-jin climbing over his wall, mistook her for a thief and even called the police, driving their relationship to rock bottom.
Still, Dam Ye-jin’s bulldozer-level persistence didn’t quit. After she happened to witness Matthew tenderly caring for the mushrooms all night at the farm, she felt a deep trust in him and doubled down on her resolve not to back off. Vowing to make the ‘Letual’ live onboarding broadcast a success, she struggled to untie their knots and defuse the tension with Matthew. Then, an unexpected twist hit near the end: late at night, Dam Ye-jin phoned Matthew and burst into tears, saying, “Mom, why are you only picking up now?”—sending anticipation skyrocketing over what decisive turn this will spark in their relationship.
Right after the broadcast, online communities and social media lit up with praise like “Their visual synergy is insane,” “A feast for the eyes,” and “A drama that hits my taste perfectly.”
Riding strong word of mouth, Nielsen Korea reported that Episode 2 of ‘Omaejin’ scored a 3.7% nationwide rating, peaking at 4.9%.
