Singer-guitarist Lee Sang-soon revealed why he wrapped up 11 years of life in Jeju and moved his home to Seoul.

Recently, the STAYFOLIO YouTube channel featured Lee Sang-soon and TV personality Kim Na-young. Kim candidly shared her real-world concerns about settling down in Jeju.

Kim said, "I really love Jeju among domestic travel destinations and even thought about living there, but people who have actually tried it told me getting around is too hard and tried to talk me out of it." Lee empathized deeply and described the hardships of shuttling between Jeju and Seoul.

Lee admitted, "If your work is on the mainland—meaning Seoul—it's definitely not easy," adding, "When I first moved down to Jeju, I intended to cut back on work and live quietly. But I ended up constantly going back and forth to Seoul, and it just wore me out."

Even so, he didn't hide his affection for life in Jeju. "There are drawbacks, but there are so many strengths too," Lee reflected positively on his time there. Kim agreed, saying, "That's why I thought it would be nice to have a second house."

Lee Sang-soon married Lee Hyori in 2013 and lived in Jeju for about 11 years. In 2024, he relocated to Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, for a fresh start.
