The third week of April sees a lineup of boy group comebacks, alongside a solo release from MAMAMOO’s Wheein.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, PLAVE, and newcomer MODYSSEY are all releasing new music, while Xdinary Heroes return with a new band-focused record. Wheein also joins the lineup with a solo release.
◆ TXT’s April 13 comeback continues million-seller streak
TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) released their 8th mini album '7TH YEAR: When the Wind Paused in the Thorns' on April 13. According to Hanteo Chart on April 14, the album sold 1,357,029 copies on its first day.
With this, the group extends its streak to seven consecutive first-week million-selling releases.
Globally, the album ranked No. 1 on 'Worldwide iTunes Albums' and No. 3 on 'European iTunes Albums.' As of April 14 at 9 a.m. KST, it also topped iTunes 'Top Albums' in 15 regions including Japan, New Zealand, and Brazil. The title track reached No. 1 on iTunes 'Top Songs' in 17 regions including Chile, Mexico, and the Philippines.
The album reflects the group’s experiences over seven years since debut, with the title track 'One More Day In A Day' focusing on the emotions surrounding a relationship nearing its end.
◆ PLAVE enters charts with new release
DVirtual group PLAVE released their 4th mini album 'Caligo Pt.2' on April 13.
By April 14, all tracks had entered the upper ranks of Melon’s Top 100. The title track 'Born Savage' reached No. 2, followed by 'I Think So' at No. 3, 'Parade of Blossoms' at No. 4, 'Luna Hearts' at No. 6, and 'Heung Heung Heung' at No. 8.
The album continues the narrative from their previous release and features five tracks, including 'Born Savage' and the pre-release 'Heung Heung Heung.'
◆ MODYSSEY debuts with single produced by 3RACHA
MODYSSEY debuted on April 13 with their single '1. Got Hooked: An Addictive Symphony.'
The group was formed through Mnet’s audition programs 'Boys II Planet' and 'PLANET C: HOME RACE' and has built an early international fanbase.
The title track 'HOOK' was produced with participation from Stray Kids’ unit 3RACHA and features a performance-driven concept.
◆ Wheein returns with new single 'adagio'
MAMAMOO’s Wheein will release her single 'adagio' at 6 p.m. KST on April 16.
The track 'The Symphony of Fxxkboys' highlights her vocal tone over a band-based arrangement.
With this release, Wheein continues to develop her solo musical style.
◆ Xdinary Heroes return with new mini album
Xdinary Heroes will release their mini album 'DEAD AND' on April 17.
The album includes seven tracks such as 'Voyager,' 'X room,' and 'No Cool Kids Zone,' with all members credited in the production.
The group will also begin a series of live shows in Europe, starting in Manchester on May 31, followed by stops in London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Milan.
