Highlight member Yoon Doojoon was brought to tears after South Korea’s shocking comeback win at the FIFA World Cup.
Starting at 10 a.m. on the 12th, Yoon hosted a live watch-along on Highlight’s official YouTube channel for South Korea vs. Czech Republic, the Group A opener of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North and Central America.
Led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, Korea overturned the match with Hwang In-beom’s equalizer and a late winner from substitute Oh Hyeon-gyu.
Calling the game live, Yoon clenched his fists, jumped out of his seat, and even walked off-camera in sheer excitement during the dramatic turnaround. Right after the final whistle, he teared up, drawing massive attention from fans. He said, "If it’s not concerts, LoL (League of Legends), or soccer, I don’t cry. I rarely cry when I’m sad — I cry when I’m happy," making fans laugh.
Well-known as a hardcore soccer fan, Yoon also went viral during the 2022 Qatar World Cup for his passionate live watch-along commentary on Korea’s matches.
With three points secured, Korea will face hosts Mexico at the same venue on the 19th at 10 a.m. for their second group match, then play South Africa in their final Group A fixture at Monterrey Stadium on the 25th at 10 a.m.
