tvN’s drama 'The Second Signal' (hereafter ‘Signal 2’) has been removed from its broadcast schedule.

According to reports on April 17, the decision followed backlash related to actor Jo Jin-woong’s past record.

The network is reportedly considering Apple TV+’s 'Pachinko' as a replacement, though the schedule has not been finalized.

‘Signal 2’ is the sequel to the 2016 drama 'Signal,' which follows cases solved through communication between past and present. The project was planned as part of tvN’s 20th anniversary lineup and reunites Kim Hye-soo, Lee Je-hoon, and Jo Jin-woong.

In December, reports surfaced regarding Jo Jin-woong’s past, including a high school car theft incident and a DUI-related license cancellation. He later issued an apology and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry.

tvN stated it is reviewing various options regarding the project’s future.
