Coupang Play has released the first teaser trailer for its new variety show ‘Bonjour Bakery.’
‘Bonjour Bakery’ is a healing variety program set in a senior-only dessert café opened in a quiet rural village, where elderly guests and celebrity cast members share time together. The concept combines French desserts with a countryside setting.
The teaser released on the 21st shows seniors trying desserts for the first time and reacting with curiosity and enjoyment. One scene also reveals that the café is limited to senior guests, adding context to the program’s concept.
The cast includes Kim Hee-ae, who takes charge of front-of-house operations, Kim Seon-ho, who interacts with guests, and Cha Seung-won and Lee Ki-taek, who handle the desserts in the kitchen using Korean ingredients.
The production team includes PD Park Geun-hyeong, known for ‘You Quiz on the Block’ and ‘Korean Hostel in Spain,’ as well as writer Kim Ran-ju, who has worked on shows including ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ and ‘Infinite Challenge.’
‘Bonjour Bakery’ premieres on Coupang Play at 4 p.m. KST on May 8.
