Singer Jae Lee revealed behind-the-scenes moments in Mexico City with her fiancé Sam Kim right after the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony.

Recently on Instagram, Jae Lee posted several photos with the caption, "It was truly a special experience. Mexico City is beautiful." The photos show the couple spending time in Mexico City, where the World Cup opening ceremony took place. They stroll hand in hand through the streets and snap affectionate selfies with the stadium in the background, radiating soon-to-wed vibes.

This trip to Mexico held extra meaning for Jae Lee. On June 11 (local time), she took the stage at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City for the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, performing the official anthem "DNA" alongside Andrea Bocelli.

Born in Seoul and Korean American, Jae Lee trained under SM Entertainment before building a career as a songwriter and singer. Last year, in the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, she voiced Lumi from the group Huntrix, and she wrote, composed, and performed the main OST "Golden," earning global popularity.

Her relationship with fiancé Sam Kim also began with music. Born in 1991, Jae Lee met 1998-born Sam Kim during a music session in 2017, first teaming up as songwriting partners before becoming a couple. The two reportedly got engaged in late 2023.

Earlier this year, Jae Lee shared engagement photos, updating fans on their upcoming wedding. The couple will tie the knot this November in Los Angeles, USA.
