NewJeans may be gearing up for a comeback after alleged overseas recording activity surfaced. After multiple sightings of members in Copenhagen, Denmark, fans are now buzzing over what appears to be a local studio booking linked to the group.

Recently, a document believed to be the schedule for a recording/mixing studio in Copenhagen circulated on social media and online communities. The sheet reportedly listed bookings under “ADOR/LL” from the 13th to the 17th. Some fans speculate that “ADOR” refers to NewJeans’ agency ADOR.

The dates also line up with member sightings in the city. On the 12th, posts on Chinese social media claimed Haerin and Hyein were spotted at shops in downtown Copenhagen. Soon after, there were claims that Hanni was with them as well. ADOR previously acknowledged that the members visited Copenhagen with staff.

However, without an official statement from the agency, everything remains speculation.

Some observers believe this isn’t just for a pictorial or content shoot, but that the group has entered a phase of recording a new track and preparing for a comeback.

Since 2024, NewJeans and their label ADOR have been locked in legal disputes over exclusive contracts. After the court sided with ADOR, some members decided to return, and public interest in the group’s next steps has remained high. While multiple reports about each member’s status have emerged, details beyond official announcements differ depending on the parties involved.

Meanwhile, another front of the NewJeans saga—legal battles between former ADOR head Min Hee-jin and labels under HYBE—is moving again. According to Star News on the 26th, the 12th Civil Division of the Seoul Western District Court will resume hearings on May 15 for a damages lawsuit totaling approximately KRW 2.5 billion (about USD 1.8 million) filed by Source Music and BELIFT LAB against Min Hee-jin.
