On the 800th-episode special of SBS variety show Running Man, actor Ji Ye-eun had viewers in stitches as she openly waited—more eagerly than anyone—for a news break about her own dating rumor. The members turned up the heat by teasing her about going public with a relationship, even reviving a cheeky on-screen love line with comedian Yang Se-chan for extra laughs.

During the April 26 broadcast of Running Man, Yoo Jae-suk opened, "Since it's the 800th episode, I heard Ye-eun has something special planned." When the members pressed for details, Ji Ye-eun, looking flustered, replied, "It hasn't come out yet," leaving everyone puzzled.

As the cast kept asking what was going on, Ji Ye-eun blushed and let out a playful scream. Yoo Jae-suk shot back immediately, "Is this about a dating rumor?" Yang Se-chan blurted, "What are you talking about?" and played up a shocked reaction, sending the set into laughter.

The members fired off questions like, "Who is it?" and "Are they a former idol?" Ji Ye-eun nervously asked, "Has the article still not dropped?" She added, "The reporter said they were publishing—why isn't it up yet? I couldn't sleep and kept waiting," cracking everyone up.

Yoo Jae-suk joked, "If no article comes out, are you going to announce it yourself?" Ji Ye-eun said, "They told me it would be between 9:30 and 10," checking for live updates and drawing attention. Yoo Jae-suk marveled, "I've never seen anyone wait for their own dating rumor like this," in disbelief.

The show also reignited Ji Ye-eun and Yang Se-chan's playful love line. When the members hinted that Yang Se-chan might be the mystery man and kept teasing him, he searched related articles on his phone with a bitter look. Haha joked, "Se-chan's life is over," and "Even his voice sounds sad today," filling the studio with laughter.

Ji Ye-eun repeatedly apologized—"I'm sorry, oppa"—but still dropped a pointed line: "Fortune favors the bold." She even hinted that the other person may have confessed first, prompting cheers from the members.

Marking its 800th episode, Running Man once again delivered legendary laughs with its well-oiled chemistry as a long-running variety show, posting a 3.7% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea) and serving up both laughter and love to living rooms nationwide.
