Whenever actors Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun cross paths, sparks fly with fierce love-hate chemistry.

On the 28th, SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama Brave New World unveiled still cuts of Shin Seori (played by Lim Ji-yeon) and Cha Segye (played by Heo Nam-jun) locked in a high-tension standoff.

Lim Ji-yeon portrays Shin Seori, a struggling actress possessed by the soul of Kang Dansim—the notorious villainess who once shook Joseon—while Heo Nam-jun takes on the role of Cha Segye, a "notorious chaebol" trailed by infamy. The two are set to deliver powerhouse performances.

In the newly released stills, Cha Segye’s icy glare contrasts sharply with Shin Seori being dragged away by security behind him, instantly drawing attention. Her face—eyes blazing with anger at Cha Segye for turning her away at the door—hints that their fates will be anything but smooth.

Brave New World follows the war-like rom-com between two so-called "villains": Shin Seori, who grows ruthlessly single-minded after being overtaken by the spirit of Joseon’s most infamous anti-heroine, and Cha Segye, a corporate monster born of raw capitalism. The series premieres Friday, May 8, at 9:50 p.m. KST.
