Shocking preview: after stirring up early controversy even before release, the drama has dropped character stills that flaunt each star’s unique vibe — and the powers that are about to blow up the timeline ahead of its May 15 Netflix premiere.

On the 29th, Netflix unveiled still cuts of leads Park Eun-bin, Choi Dae-hoon, Lim Sung-jae, and Cha Eun-woo from The WONDERfools.

The new images spotlight Eun Chae-ni (played by Park Eun-bin), Son Gyeong-hun (Choi Dae-hoon), Kang Robin (Lim Sung-jae), and Lee Woon-jung (Cha Eun-woo), each radiating their distinct charm and sparking major curiosity.

First up, Eun Chae-ni — granddaughter of Haeseong City’s signature eatery, 'Big Hand Restaurant' — is a character who lost hope and drifted through life due to a childhood heart condition. But when she suddenly develops the ability to teleport, she’s thrown into chaos, dialing up anticipation for what’s next. Lee Woon-jung is a telekinetic who wants nothing more than a quiet life, hiding his power. As he gets entangled with key figures in Haeseong City, all eyes are on how his long-kept secret will come to light.

Meticulous civil servant Son Gyeong-hun, who never overlooks even the smallest civil complaint, gains the bizarre power that pot lids stick to both of his hands. How he’ll make use of this seemingly useless ability becomes another must-watch hook. Meanwhile, Kang Robin — dubbed Haeseong City’s ultimate pushover — defies his gentle nature by displaying jaw-dropping super strength, even hoisting a police car.

Set in 1999 at the turn of the century, The WONDERfools follows a band of hapless neighborhood misfits who accidentally gain superpowers and fight to protect the world from a villain threatening Haeseong City’s peace. The series premieres May 15 on Netflix.
