General programming channel JTBC addressed rumors that some variety shows had halted filming.

On the 23rd, JTBC told multiple outlets, "All programs will proceed with filming as scheduled," adding, "Reports claiming that some variety shows have stopped filming are groundless." Earlier, MyDaily reported that JTBC would temporarily suspend filming for most programs except the variety shows Please Take Care of My Refrigerator and Love War.

Interest surrounding JTBC-produced shows has recently intensified. News broke that JTBC’s new drama Rediscovery of Love would take about a one-month reset period, considering script completion and monsoon-related filming conditions, which in turn drew attention to the production timelines of other variety programs.

On top of that, with JTBC and JoongAng Group affiliates filing for court-led rehabilitation, industry insiders and viewers alike have speculated about potential shifts in production and scheduling.

On June 12, JTBC declared a default after failing to repay KRW 20.6 billion in securitized borrowings by maturity. On the 14th, JoongAng Holdings, ContentreeJoongAng, Megabox JoongAng, and JoongAng P&I filed for rehabilitation proceedings, and on the 15th, JTBC also submitted a rehabilitation petition to the court.
