Kwon Sung-joon, the ‘Napoli Matfia’ who won the Netflix cooking survival Culinary Class Wars, shared an update on filming the JTBC variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator (hereafter ‘Please Take Care’).

On the 22nd, Kwon posted to his Instagram Story with the caption “’Please Take Care’ shoot” alongside a photo. In the image, he’s getting hair and makeup done ahead of recording, flashing a relaxed smile at the camera.

What’s drawing even more attention is JTBC’s recent financial troubles. JTBC failed to repay 20.6 billion KRW in securitized borrowings by the due date and declared a default. Subsequently, affiliates including the JoongAng Holdings parent company, JTBC, ContentreeJoongAng, and Megabox JoongAng have reportedly entered court rehabilitation proceedings.

As this situation unfolded, many questioned whether JTBC-produced programs could continue broadcasting and filming as normal. Amid the uncertainty, Kwon—who appears on ‘Please Take Care’—personally revealed he’s prepping for a shoot, prompting relieved reactions among fans of the program.

Meanwhile, Kwon rose to mainstream fame after winning Culinary Class Wars.
