Shocking new casting buzz: After his military discharge, actor Lee Do-hyun is reportedly keeping the momentum going and has chosen a big-scale action drama as his next project.

On the 22nd, his agency YH Entertainment told Celeb Media, "It is a project he was offered."

Forest of Humans is a large-scale action drama about a top assassin who dominated the underworld for a decade but, for undisclosed reasons, is reassigned to a police protection detail unit—setting off a high-stakes chain of events.

According to reports, Lee Do-hyun is set to play the elite killer who once ruled the criminal world. He will portray a multidimensional character who protects victims with his own bold, gritty methods, showcasing an intense, kinetic action performance unlike anything he has shown before.

The project will be helmed by director Shin Kyung-soo, known for delivering standout direction and thrilling catharsis through dramas like The First Responders, Six Flying Dragons, and Nokdu Flower.

Since completing his military service in May last year, Lee has been on a roll with the Netflix series Grand Galaxy Hotel and the film Shake Our Sun, and now with Forest of Humans on the horizon, cementing his status as one of the busiest stars in the game.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend Im Ji-yeon—who is openly dating Lee—recently earned major public praise with the drama My Royal Nemesis, and Lee is likewise locking in back-to-back projects, seemingly winning at both work and love.

Fans reacted hotly to the news, saying, "We love that he's working nonstop," "I can't even imagine Lee Do-hyun as a killer, which makes me even more curious," and "It already screams mega-hit just from the premise."

All eyes are now on whether Lee Do-hyun—who reinvents himself with every role—will add another career-defining character to his filmography with Forest of Humans.
