Shocking chart sweep: rookie boy group CORTIS just clinched their 50th No. 1 on Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Songs Korea’ with their title track ‘REDRED’ on June 20, cementing a record-setting run and proving they’re the industry’s new powerhouse.
‘REDRED’, the title track from CORTIS’s second mini album, recorded its 50th trip to the top of Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Songs Korea’ chart on June 20.
It’s the longest and most No. 1s for a single by a boy group since the chart launched in early 2021. Earlier, on June 16—just 57 days after release—the song surpassed 100 million cumulative Spotify streams, the fastest pace among boy groups who debuted within the past five years.
BigHit Music commented, “It’s rare for a rookie group less than a year into debut to sustain such a long run on the charts, which makes this achievement even more meaningful.”
Meanwhile, on June 20, CORTIS performed at the ‘Allo Bank Festival’ in Jakarta, Indonesia, hyping up a massive local crowd. The members have since headed to Paris, France, to attend Men’s Fashion Week kicking off on June 23.
