Former Wanna One member Park Woojin has reportedly been tapped to headline a new short-form drama, igniting buzz among K-Drama fans.

According to TenAsia on the 19th, Park Woojin has been cast in director Han Sang-il’s upcoming short-form series The Love Story Only I Don’t Know, where he’s set to showcase a full-on romance performance.

Per reports, Park will play Seo Gitak, the boyfriend who alone has been erased from the female lead Yerin’s memories. Though somewhat timid and not great at expressing himself, Seo Gitak is a warmhearted character who sincerely wishes happiness for just one person.

After an unexpected accident leaves his lover unable to remember him, he stays quietly by her side. As time passes, the true feelings he hid—and the deep wounds he carries—slowly come to light.

Last November, Park took on his first acting challenge in the short-form drama First, produced by the Busan Tourism Organization, earning passing marks for his debut performance.

Fans reacting to the casting news said, “A steadfast, pure-love boyfriend role? I’m so excited,” “If it’s a Park Woojin-style romance, I’m watching live no matter what,” and “I’m already getting butterflies,” flooding him with support.

Meanwhile, a portion of The Love Story Only I Don’t Know will be unveiled for the first time via ENA’s Director's Arena, airing tonight at 11 p.m.
