Comedian Kim Kyu-won shared an update: he’s currently in a relationship.
On the June 22 broadcast of SBS variety show uh, but like, seriously!, actor Oh Yeon-seo and comedian Kim Kyu-won appeared as guests. Beloved by the nickname ‘Gyukatsu’ for his work on Coupang Play’s Saturday Night Live Korea Season 8 and more, Kim steered the mood with his trademark deadpan wit.
Lee Su-ji was the first to call out his confidence. Lee said, “Kim Kyu-won is very popular with the opposite sex. Wherever we go, he says he thinks someone likes him.” Rather than getting flustered, Kim shot back, “I think there’s one here, too,” drawing laughs. He then sent a meaningful look toward the camera director, cracking everyone up.
His relationship status also came out naturally. When Lee Sang-min asked, “Last time we met, you said you had a girlfriend—how are things now?” Kim carefully replied, “I’m still seeing her,” revealing that he’s still dating.
Previously, in August of last year on the SBS variety show Dolsing Fourmen, Kim confessed that he had been dating an older woman he met at church for over a year.
He also brought laughs with a quirky personal talent. Kim showcased a unique bit called “the beatbox of someone who’s good at kissing,” but when the reaction wasn’t as hot as expected, he said, “See, this is why I said I shouldn’t do it,” looking embarrassed.
Tak Jae-hoon immediately joked, “Did you try that on her, too? You’d probably get slapped,” to which Kim fired back, “She couldn’t even pull herself together,” before performing an even stronger version of the beatbox, sending the studio into laughter.
Meanwhile, Kim Kyu-won debuted in 2023 and has been making his mark with the Saturday Night Live Korea series.
