Korean OTT platform Wavve is unveiling a new kind of dating reality show, StanbyME.
StanbyME is a dating reality program that goes beyond gender boundaries to explore every possibility of love. The cast doesn’t get boxed into fixed relationship formats or strict gender lines. Instead, they follow their feelings and where their hearts lead. While traditional dating shows build love lines around male-female pairs, StanbyME opens things up to explore relationships more freely. As contestants spend time together, they bounce between attraction and doubt, confusion and certainty—ultimately confronting what kind of relationship they truly want.
On the 10th, the show amped up anticipation by dropping its official poster and teaser. The poster features three people—a mix of men and women—sitting side by side with their backs to the camera. The composition, which doesn’t point in just one direction, hints at multiple paths their relationships could take. The tagline “All the possibilities of how we will love” captures the show’s identity.
The teaser previews raw, unfiltered shifts in emotion. At first meetings, contestants even ask, “What gender were you expecting?”—then make it clear they want to focus on feelings over gender.
As time passes, the love lines only get more complex. Attractions intersect and hearts waver, and the line “Let’s keep it open—that’s why we’re here, right?” signals the start of a boundary-free romance.
StanbyME also draws attention as Wavve’s latest entry in romance reality. Previously, Wavve spotlighted many forms of relationships and emotions through shows like His Man and My Sibling's Romance. This time, with a bold attempt at a bisexual dating reality series, the platform aims to capture a broader spectrum of love.
All eyes are on how honest the cast can be with their feelings—and what choices they’ll make within unpredictable dynamics.
Meanwhile, StanbyME premieres exclusively on Wavve on the 19th.
