Actress Cha Jung-won gave a fresh update on her public relationship with actor Ha Jung-woo — and stunned viewers with her unexpectedly hilarious variety chops.
On the July 13 episode of the SBS variety show uh, but like, seriously!, guests Ivy, Cha Jung-won, and Joo Hyun-young joined to share a range of stories.
During the broadcast, Lee Su-ji turned to Cha and said, "I heard some good news. Congratulations," bringing up Cha’s public romance with Ha Jung-woo. Cha shyly smiled and replied, "Thank you."
When Lee Sang-min asked, "How’s your boyfriend doing?" Cha fanned herself while covering her face, clearly flustered, but still answered briefly, "He’s doing well," signaling that her relationship with Ha remains strong.
The conversation also touched on Ha Jung-woo’s wine brand. When asked if he personally runs a winery, Cha smoothly clarified, "He only owns the wine — it’s for the winery," deftly working in a low-key update on Ha.
Cha then surprised everyone by showing a completely different side from her usual gentle, calm image. She sang along to her close friend Ivy’s song in a quirky style and delivered a flurry of spot-on impressions and personal gags, revealing an unexpected knack for variety. Tak Jae-hoon reacted, "You’ve always had that charm — the world just didn’t notice until now," while Lee Su-ji added, "I’m genuinely impressed," prompting laughter.
Asked whether Ha Jung-woo has ever seen this side of her, Cha admitted, "He hasn’t, so he might be surprised."
Cha Jung-won publicly confirmed in February that she’s dating actor Ha Jung-woo, who is 11 years her senior, with marriage in mind.
