IVE member Ahn Yu-jin has reportedly won an allocation in the general sale of a major reconstruction complex in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
According to the real-estate sales industry on the 10th, Ahn was listed among the successful applicants for the lottery-based units in The H Bangbae (DH Bangbae), which is set for move-in this September.
The H Bangbae is a large-scale apartment complex created through the reconstruction of Bangbae District 5. With price caps in place and no mandatory self-occupancy requirement, the general sale drew intense interest at the time.
About 215 units from the general sale were offered via lottery. In speculative-overheating zones like the three Gangnam districts and Yongsan, a certain portion of units are allocated by lottery depending on exclusive floor area. Ahn is said to have won through this lottery pool.
However, the exact unit type Ahn won—and whether she will actually move in—has not been confirmed.
At launch, the top supply prices were approximately 1.7025 billion won for 59㎡ and 2.243 billion won for 84㎡. The 101㎡ units were around 2.5 billion won, and 114㎡ went for about 2.762 billion won.
Compared to current market prices, a substantial profit may be possible. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport transaction data shows an 84㎡ unit traded for about 3.69295 billion won in April. Current asking prices reportedly hover near 4 billion won.
If Ahn secured an 84㎡ unit, analysts suggest the gap between the original sale price and today’s asks could translate into a windfall of up to around 1.8 billion won. Still, without disclosure of the exact unit type, the precise gain remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Ahn Yu-jin debuted with IZ*ONE in 2018 through PRODUCE 48. After the group’s activities ended, she debuted with IVE and continues to stay highly active.
