K-pop group CIX will halt group activities seven years after their debut.
On the 29th, agency C9 Entertainment announced through its official community platform that, after discussions, the group would suspend activities. The agency stated that multiple options were considered but continuing group operations would be difficult at this time.
The members will now focus on individual paths. BX and Seunghun’s contracts end on April 30, while Yonghee will enlist for active duty on May 11, with his contract concluding upon enlistment. Hyunsuk, who is currently filming a drama, is scheduled to end his contract at the end of next month.
The agency expressed gratitude to fans and stated it will continue communicating with the members with the possibility of future activities under the group name.
CIX debuted in July 2019 and built a steady fanbase. Following Bae Jin Young’s departure in August 2024, the group continued as four members before deciding to pause activities.
