The K-Pop group CIX is officially drawing the curtain on its group activities seven years after debut.

On the 29th, agency C9 Entertainment told fans via its official community, "After lengthy discussions, we have decided to halt CIX’s group activities," adding, "We explored multiple possibilities and deliberated deeply, but for now all members agreed that it would be difficult to continue operations."

Moving forward, the members will pursue individual paths. BX and Seunghun’s exclusive contracts end tomorrow (April 30). Yonghee has opted for voluntary enlistment and will join the Army on active duty next month on the 11th; his contract will conclude upon enlistment. Hyunsuk, who is concurrently filming a drama, is set to end his contract on the 31st of next month.

The agency expressed gratitude to fans and asked for "warm support for the members as they prepare for new beginnings in their respective places." It added, "We will continue communicating with the members so that, in the future, the name CIX can once again be connected through music."

CIX debuted in July 2019 and steadily built a unique musical identity, expanding its fandom. After Bae Jin Young’s departure in August 2024, the group continued as a four-member act, but ultimately decided to conclude group activities ahead of their seventh debut anniversary.
