Actor Kim Moo-yeol opens up about how life has changed after the global success of the Netflix original series Teach You a Lesson, the hardships of his little-known years, and his heartfelt love for his wife, Yoon Seung-ah.
At the end of the June 24 broadcast of tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block, a teaser dropped for the next episode featuring the couple Kim Moo-yeol and Yoon Seung-ah. Riding the worldwide buzz of Teach You a Lesson, Kim is in the spotlight once again.
In the teaser, Kim said he can feel the show’s explosive popularity. “For the first time in 10 years, my neighbors told me I look cool,” he joked, making everyone on set laugh.
He also mentioned a viral moment involving former pro wrestler–turned–Hollywood star John Cena. When Cena posted a photo of Kim—who had been called his look-alike—on social media, it became a hot topic, hinting at just how big Teach You a Lesson has become beyond Korea.
