Actor Lee Sang-yi is returning to the small screen armed with the ultimate “by-the-book detective” look.

On the 25th, MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Married Woman Killer unveiled stills of Lee Sang-yi, who plays ace inspector Lee Dong-jin of Violent Crimes Team 2.

The newly released photos capture Lee Dong-jin’s ironclad determination to hunt down criminals, immediately drawing attention. His razor-sharp gaze and stance as he scans the scene promise the grounded authority and gravitas of a veteran detective.

In the drama, Lee Dong-jin, played by Lee Sang-yi, considers the mysterious target known as “Kingfisher” a vicious criminal and firmly believes that catching him is the only true justice as a cop. Lee will delve deep into the character’s past—marked by hidden pain—and portray how it forged his unshakable belief in legal judgment, adding depth and dimension to the narrative.

Based on the hit Kakao Webtoon of the same name, Married Woman Killer follows the double life of a working mom with the most dangerous job in the world. The series premieres on July 31 at 9:50 p.m. and will also be available to stream on Wavve.
