Shocking comeback move: BIGBANG is celebrating their 20th debut anniversary by kicking off a special new journey with global fans.

On May 1, the group posted a 'BIGBANG OFFICIAL 6th V.I.P COMING SOON' teaser on Instagram, announcing the reopening of their official fan club — the first time in about 11 years since the 5th-term recruitment in 2015.

The poster spotlights the 'Bang Bong' (BIGBANG’s official light stick), a symbol of the bond between BIGBANG and V.I.P. Countless light sticks shine through the darkness, teasing the return of the iconic yellow ocean and supercharging anticipation for the group’s 20th-anniversary project.

The 6th-term recruitment will run via BIGBANG’s official community on the global fandom platform b.stage. After establishing new communication channels through the community and social media, BIGBANG plans to deepen engagement with V.I.Ps around the world starting with this drive.

YG Entertainment stated, "We prepared the official fan club recruitment to be even closer with the fans who have protected BIGBANG’s name for a long time. Please look forward to a new 20th-anniversary journey that the artists and V.I.P will write together."

Meanwhile, BIGBANG recently announced the start of their 20th-anniversary project with a performance at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States. Proving their enduring power amid explosive local response, they will embark on a world tour in August to meet fans across the globe.
