K-pop group Yusphere is signaling a fresh start amid a lineup shake-up.
On May 7, agency MW Entertainment announced, "Member Yeowon will conclude her activities with the team." The company added that "since the second half of last year, Yeowon has taken ample time to rest and recover and has long considered her future path," explaining, "After mutual discussion, we decided to end her activities as a member of Yusphere." They continued, "We apologize for the sudden news that may have concerned fans," and asked, "Please support Yeowon’s new beginning and continue to cheer for Yusphere’s upcoming activities." With this, Yusphere has been reorganized as a six-member group: Soi, Sian, Seoyu, Daon, Chaena, and Roa.
Immediately after news broke of Yeowon’s departure and the termination of her exclusive contract, the agency swiftly unveiled Yusphere’s comeback plans, making the new lineup official. Yusphere is set to return this June with a new album, marking their first comeback in about a year since their debut single 'Speed Zone' (SPEED ZONE) dropped last June. The release is especially meaningful as their first album since moving agencies.
The agency said, "Because it’s been a while, we’ll showcase more mature music and performance," raising expectations.
All eyes are on what fresh color Yusphere will reveal as a six-member team at this turning point.
