Actor Kang Dong-won is reportedly set to appear on model-turned-TV personality Hong Jin-kyung's YouTube channel Gongbuwang Jjinjjaenjae.
According to OSEN on the 7th, Kang recently joined a recording for Gongbuwang Jjinjjaenjae, teaming up with Hong Jin-kyung. Lee Ji-hye and Jang Young-ran were also on set, and the four kept the shoot buzzing with energy. His episode is expected to drop late this month or early next month.
Previously, Jun Ji-hyun appeared on Gongbuwang Jjinjjaenjae and went viral. With Kang now joining, anticipation is surging again. As Kang rarely does variety outside of his film work, fans are eager to see what fresh charms he will showcase on camera. In particular, many are watching to see the chemistry he sparks with the sharp-tongued, high-energy cast members like Hong Jin-kyung and Jang Young-ran.
Kang is gearing up for the release of the film Wild Sing. In the movie, he plays Hyun-woo, the leader of the co-ed group Triangle and a skilled dancer, marking a dramatic transformation from his usual image. To embody the role, he trained for about five months in headspins and breakdancing, reportedly performing many sequences himself without a double.
Opening on the 3rd of next month, Wild Sing follows Triangle, a three-member co-ed dance group that once dominated the music scene before disbanding after an unexpected incident, as they seize a second chance 20 years later.
