Shocking news for fans — RIIZE member Shotaro has suffered an ankle injury and is currently receiving treatment.

On the 7th, SM Entertainment announced Shotaro’s injury through its official accounts.

According to the agency, Shotaro hurt his ankle while performing during a recent overseas schedule. After a thorough hospital examination, he was diagnosed with a torn ligament. He is currently wearing a partial cast and focusing on recovery through regular outpatient treatment.

The injury has inevitably forced changes to upcoming activities. Shotaro plans to attend scheduled events, including university festivals, but following doctors’ advice, he will not take part in choreography on stage for the time being.

The agency stated, "Based on the medical opinion that daily activities are possible but he should avoid strenuous movement and get ample rest, we made this decision after consulting with the artist," adding, "We will do our best to support a speedy recovery." They also asked fans for understanding.

Meanwhile, RIIZE is set to release a new mini-album in June.
