The internet is buzzing as esports legend T1's Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok) and aespa's Karina team up in a new ad.
On the 14th, Google Play dropped a short-form campaign teaser featuring the two stars. Titled "Did Karina accept Faker's confession?", the clip instantly grabbed attention.
As Karina appears, Faker strikes his classic pose from the past ad meme "Turn off the lights?" He then declares, "I'm Lee Sang-hyeok, a man who does what he says. I'm going to deliver my unstoppable feelings to her," and caps it off with another fan-favorite catchphrase, "Got it, right?"
Meanwhile, Karina is shown with a soft, innocent vibe boarding the subway and, in another cut, gaming with a headset, heightening curiosity.
The closing message, "Jimin-ah, us," cranked up anticipation for the full video even more.
The main video showcasing Faker and Karina's chemistry is set to be released on the 15th.
