Singer-actor IU and Byeon Woo-seok’s swoon-worthy romance is finally entering its endgame.
On the 14th, the MBC Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown unveiled must-see finale highlights and new stills ahead of Seong Hee-ju (IU) and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo-seok)’s last chapter.
The biggest question is what lies ahead for Seong Hee-ju and Ian, whose mutual romance has reached its peak. Though it began as a precarious contract marriage, the two weathered countless incidents and threats from political rivals, ultimately declaring themselves a proud married couple before the entire nation. Now that they’ve become true partners who cheer on each other’s paths, tension hits its peak as Ian, who chose to bear the weight of the crown, is swept up in an unexpected incident—raising the stakes on whether their love can get a happy ending.
The final showdown among political and royal power players is another can’t-miss point. Prime Minister Min Jeong-u (Noh Sang-hyun), who has long harbored unrequited feelings for Seong Hee-ju, reveals ruthless ambition from the opposite side of his once-close friend Ian after realizing her heart belongs to Ian. Meanwhile, Yoon I-rang (Gong Seung-yeon), who has lived as a puppet for her power-hungry father, steps up to correct her wrongs so her son Lee Yun (Kim Eun-ho) won’t inherit the same scars—emerging as a major wild card.
Shifting relationships among the people around them also draw attention. The subtle chemistry between Choi Hyeon (Yoo Su-bin) and Do Hye-jeong (Lee Yeon) hints at the birth of another sub-couple. And the once-icy ties between Seong Hee-ju and her family begin to thaw: her father Seong Hyeon-guk (Jo Seung-yeon), brother Seong Tae-ju (Lee Jae-won), and sister-in-law Han Da-yeong (Chae Seo-an) finally start worrying for her in the face of crisis, promising heartwarming family moments that will move viewers.
Meanwhile, Perfect Crown airs Episode 11 on the 15th at 9:50 p.m., with the finale airing on the 16th at 9:40 p.m.
